To be honest, I was sold on Lunch Lady Magazine before I'd even read the first page.
Created originally as a blog by Kate Berry (editor) after her daughter was bullied at school for eating homemade, healthy lunches. On the blog she shared lunchtime recipes to inspire other parents to make similar, healthy lunchbox efforts, which in time developed along themes about family life and parenting. Soon after Kate teamed up with Lara Burke and Louise Bannister, creative and editorial directors of Frankie Magazine, to create Lunch Lady Magazine, a quarterly publication dedicated to food, family and fun!
The magazine is visually drop-dead-gorgeous and contemporary, with collaborations with renowned artists such as the beauty that is Beci Orpin. The stories are real, engaging and at times nostalgic, making it very easy to connect with the magazine.
